While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease (Genesis 8:22). The Lord didn’t say, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest time…shall not cease.†To say “seed time and harvest time†suggests that there’s a definite time of sowing and a definite time of harvest. But “seedtime and harvest†means harvest is anytime. In other words, you might as well consider today the day of harvest! What the Lord is saying to us here is that though there......

For we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) The walk of faith is the lifestyle of every Christian. The earlier you realize this, the better for you. The reason is that you’ll be confronted with several challenges along your path. Amidst these, your testimony must remain consistent with what God has said. The Bible says, And being not weak in faith, he (Abraham) considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb. There’s a difference between confession and testimony. The confession of the WORD and the testimony of God’s WORD are not the same. When we confess the Word, we are responding to God’s Word in agreement with Him. Confession brings us the blessings of salvation. If I’ve been in a mess, or I’ve found myself in some predicament, maybe sickness, disease or affliction; I’ll confess the Word and by my confession I’ll catapult myself into the liberty of the children of God, because confession brings salvation. “For with the heart man believeth unto......

For the New Testament believer, prayer is not just a means of religious communication with God; it’s a fellowship. Some people pray because they’ve been brought up to think it’s a religious obligation they must fulfill. True, the Lord Jesus said, “…men ought always to pray and not to faint†(Luke 18:1), letting us know prayer is a spiritual obligation for every believer. But that’s not all that God intended prayer to be. In Luke 18:1, the Master said we ought to pray. So we know one of the reasons we pray......

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith (Romans 12:6). Sometimes, some Christians wonder how come they prophesied that something was going to happen and it didn’t happen, and then they concluded that maybe it was a false prophecy after all. Not necessarily. Let’s learn from the Prophet Elijah: there had been no rain for three and a half years, then suddenly he prophesied to King Ahab ;get thee up, eat and drink; for there is......

Some people don’t bother praying, because even when they do, they don’t expect answers. If you don’t have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, that is, you’re not born again, you shouldn’t expect answers because He wouldn’t even hear you. However, if you’re God’s child, you have a right to expect answers when you pray; but to have those answers consistently, you must pray according to God’s Word revealed concerning prayer in the New Testament. God invites us to pray; He’s not troubled with our prayers. Some people think they shouldn’t......
