Trauma Care International Foundation, in collaboration with ‘First Class’ – a cell group in Christ Embassy Lagos – held a health education and promotion campaign designed to provide free medical consultation to local communities and promote healthy lifestyles in consonance with the WHO Millennium Development Goal 6. The campaign doubled as evangelical outreach to the community.

The exercise took place in the Olusosun Community located near Ojota in Lagos, Nigeria. Residents were delighted at the opportunity for free health care and advice; nearly 150 men, women and children turned out for the venue. Over 100 people were dewormed and several received free malaria treatments, antibiotics and multivitamins. Adults checked their blood pressure and sugar levels and were educated on sticking to a balanced diet, even on a low budget.

To crown it all, many gave their lives to Christ after the exhortation and were given free copies of the #1 daily devotional, Rhapsody of Realities. Because every life counts, the TCIF is ever dedicated to reaching as many as possible, teaching them to live better and healthier lives.
